Hi, I’m Kellie Mulholland.
I’ve written copy in Kyoto, brainstormed campaigns in London, worked with global brands in Dubai and ended up — quite happily — in the Deep South of New Zealand. That kind of life tends to shape the way you see things.
I’m a copywriter and marketing specialist with a career built across advertising agencies, global brands and international markets. I’ve spent years helping brands find the right words, tell the right story and connect with the right people — across cultures, industries and time zones. Along the way I picked up a working knowledge of Japanese, a deep appreciation for how differently people think and communicate, and a genuine curiosity that still drives everything I do.
My background spans senior copywriting roles at agencies in London, in-house marketing at a fantasy-inspired bar in Sydney, brand and content work at a full-service agency in Invercargill, and most recently a year leading integrated campaigns and digital content for VetSouth — one of New Zealand’s largest veterinary networks. The work has always been varied. That suits me.
Now I’m adding a visual dimension to the mix. I’m studying towards a New Zealand Diploma in Photography, and what started as a natural extension of my content work has grown into something I take seriously. I shoot lifestyle, landscape and brand imagery, and I’m increasingly interested in the space where a strong image and strong copy work together.
I’m based in Invercargill, currently working as Club Secretary – Marketing & Comms at Queens Park Golf Club — which is a good reminder that the best communicators can write for anyone, not just the obvious clients.
If you’re looking for someone who can think across disciplines, write with clarity and bring a genuinely global perspective to the work, I’d love to hear from you.
